This keynote talk will be given by Chris Connor, Executive Manager, Enterprise Services – Tech Innovation Team, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and he will be discussing Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchains). Chris Connor leads the Blockchain Portfolio for the Tech Innovation team which is involved in blockchain experimentation both inside the bank and externally with other banks and regulators.
In his talk, Chris will explore the opportunities and challenges as well as the different mindsets required to learn and gain the most from Blockchain Technology. Chris will share his approach to experimentation and of engaging with non-technology stakeholders as the functionality and most importantly implications of the technology are understood. We will discuss this further afterwards in a short panel discussion with two academics from the University of Sydney, who are investigating the technical and security-related challenges of Blockchains.
